today, I canceled on my best friend
because my mom made me an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed.
it was all my fault,
because i forgot.

then, i felt horrible about canceling on the bestie
so i canceled my appointment.
it was on the other side of town,
i didn't really want to go either.

so i called up my best friend
and she told me not to go to the game
to go to my appointment
that i canceled.
hhmmm.

i told my mom and she just shrugged it off.
i was going to argue with the bestie
but that's just a bad idea.
she usually wins :/

so.
i went to dance with my sister
fun?
yeah no.

we pulled up to the studio and
i totally forgot there was a little salon right there.
so i walked inside,
and looked around.

there were two cute asian ladies
not doing anything
just waiting for work.

i asked them if they'd wax my eye brows.
of course they said yes.
as soon as it was all said and done
my mom asked how much

and through their broken english
the lady said
"ten dolla"
my mom smiled and handed her a twenty
and walked out.

the lady looked surprised
and when she handed me
10 dollars in ones,
i gave it back to her
and pulled a ten out of my pocket
and gave it to the other lady.

in this time of economic disaster
it felt good to give to others.
whether i have it or not.

it made me happy to see
the looks on their faces.
