My friend and I went to Santa Cruz today.
and, we couldn't help but get motivated.
As we walked through downtown Santa Cruz,
there was a man playing the "I Have a Dream" speech.
We stopped to listen for a moment,
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."
I stopped to think for a moment
of how good we truly have it.
all of us, here today.
although some people may be crude towards people of another race or class,
look at how far we've come.
look at how accepting, for the most part, we all are of one another.
we're inagurating the first black president tomorrow.
even though they didn't make it
we could've had a woman president, or a woman vice president.
America is changing.
The world is changing.
Mr. King jr started the change.
He was an amazing man.
Happy Birthday.
I hope we didn't let you down!
