Oh, say can you hate?

Is it wrong to dislike our president?
Is it wrong to say terrible things about him?
Is it wrong to want him out of office? ASAP?

I don't particularly care for our President. He frustrates me with some of the things he does, but does that mean I shouldn't support him? My dad and I had a long discussion about the election being next week. My dad, being a McCain supporter, and my mom, being an Obama supporter, always makes for interesting conversation at the dinner table. My entire family and I were talking about the mistakes that have been made in the past, and things like that. My mom spoke about how she didn't like President Bush, but as an American citizen she felt she needed to support him. I didn't understand. She doesn't hate our President, but half the stuff he does, she dislikes. I asked her to explain why she feels that way. She told me, "It's simply because our united nation elected him. He was chosen by the people, so doesn't he deserve my respect for one, and SOME of my support? What kind of united states would we be if we didn't support our leader?" I couldn't believe it, but I felt the need to agree with her. As much as I don't agree with our president, he deserves some kind of respect from me. I honestly think any past or future president does too. Don't you agree?

we have to stand up to ourselves and use the written code of law the U.S. has and giving them their own medicine..
