This isn't an assigned blog today, but I just had a great point brought to my attention, so I thought I'd share. I was criticized in my last blog. At the end of it, I said that "It was nice blogging for you," when really, blogging isn't about other people reading it and what they have to say. Although it's nice to have people read and comment on your personal thoughts, they are your personal thoughts. I have had a revelation that I shouldn't be blogging for other people, I should be blogging for me. I should say things that I want to say, and what I think. (within reason because this is for school too) I think I was trying to make sure I didn't leave myself too, I don't know, vulnerable while blogging. I never want people to know everything about me or what I'm actually feeling. I've always been like that though.
Alright, I think I need to move on. I have a question. Isn't it sad that this teenage generation relies on some form of technology to survive? We always are needing to be in communication with other people, but we are unable to speak to them face to face or pick up the phone and call? I admit that I'm the same way, but it's just really sad. I mean my Dad is always telling me stories about how while he was growing up, whenever you wanted someone you just went to their house to talk to them. I was thinking about that and realizing, that I don't know the address of my best friend's house. We've been best friends since kindergarten, and she's lived in that house for as long as I can remember yet I don't know the address? Although I do know how to get to her house it's just weird. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like I can't imagine my life without a computer or cell phone, or being in constant communication with someone. I understand that we are living in the age of technology, but I don't personally think that human beings, as amazing as we are, should have to rely on a simple item in order to live our lives. Then again, that's just me. :]
yes, that is music, and yes I know it skips. sorry if it's distracting, it's what I was listening to while I was writing this.

I strongly agree with your blog. Why is it that tech. is so important ? I admit I would be lost if we HAD NONE! ( what would we do with our free time?)
Exactly, we would be lost, but is it necessary? It's a weird question to ponder. I've been trying to think of times in my life,(preferably more enjoyable times), when I didn't use technology. For example, going to the park with friends, or visiting a museum. Yes, I am a dork and actually enjoy visiting museums. :) lol. I can think of tons of things we can do with our free time. The real problem isn't what to do with our free time, I think the problem is we are too lazy to do something that requires activity. I mean, 9 out of 10 people would rather sit on their butts and use the computer, or watch t.v. because it is so much easier than walking out the door to brave the world we live in. We are always looking for the easy way out, something that doesn't involve thinking. Now, I know that sometimes it's nice to sit back and unwind, but sometimes, it's better to walk to the park, sit on the swings, and read a good book. Maybe I'm alone on this topic, but then again maybe I'm not. :D
wow, this was pretty long, so I guess I'll stop.
